Antonio Fierro, EdD

Literacy Expert in Residence, 95 Percent Group and Author, El muro de sonidos y deletreo™ 

Antonio Fierro, EdD, is a recognized literacy leader, currently serving on the national board of The Reading League. For nearly 20 years, he was a member of the LETRS® cohort of literacy experts led Louisa Moats, EdD. He has contributed to several literacy curricula for English learners and, with his colleague Mary Dahlgren, EdD, co-authored Kid Lips™, a curriculum that teaches the articulatory features of English phonemes to young children.  

Dr. Fierro’s areas of interest include early literacy instruction, improving the learning experience of pre-service teacher candidates, and the research and practice that impacts English learners.

Laura Stewart

Chief Academic Officer, 95 Percent Group

Laura Stewart is an educator and organizational leader. She has served as a teacher, administrator, adjunct professor, and director of numerous professional development initiatives nationwide.   
   
Before joining 95 Percent Group, Laura served as the Chief Innovation Officer at The Reading League and the Chief Academic Officer for Professional Development at Highlights for Children. She presents nationally and internationally and is a published author. Laura’s passion is empowering educators to positively impact ALL students and ultimately change the course of literacy achievement in this country.

Lia Ferro 

Director of Product Management, 95 Percent Group 

Lia Ferro is a product leader and early education evangelist. She has proudly spent the last decade singularly focused on developing curriculum and solutions that help to make educators’ lives easier and improve outcomes for students.  

Having spent time as a tutor, teacher, coach, and trainer, Lia brings her deep respect for educators to every product she develops to improve literacy achievement.
