Laura Stewart is an educator and organizational leader. She has served as a teacher, administrator, adjunct professor, and director of numerous professional development initiatives around the country.
Before joining 95 Percent Group, Laura was the Chief Innovation Officer with The Reading League and the Chief Academic Officer for Professional Development at Highlights for Children. She presents nationally and internationally and is a published author. Laura’s passion is empowering educators to positively impact ALL students and ultimately change the course of literacy achievement in this country.
Nancy Chapel Eberhardt
Sortegories Co-author and Independent Contractor, 95 Percent Group
Nancy Chapel Eberhardt is an accomplished educational consultant with extensive experience as a resource teacher, special education administrator, and professional development provider. Nancy has co-authored several literacy resources, including Sortegories with Sheryl Ferlito, LANGUAGE! The Comprehensive Literacy Curriculum with Jane Fell Greene, and the Literacy How Professional Learning Series with Margie Gillis.
Nancy is a strong advocate for preventing reading underachievement by supporting teachers with professional learning and evidence-based instructional resources.
Sheryl Ferlito
Sortegories Co-author and Product Manager, 95 Percent Group
Sheryl Ferlito is a retired educator and special education administrator specializing in K-12 literacy. She co-authored Sortegories, a web-based reading practice tool to create effective digital practice opportunities for developing readers. Sheryl was also a contributing writer for LANGUAGE! 3rd Edition with Nancy Chapel Eberhart and contributing developer for LANGUAGE! Live with Louisa Cook Moats, EdD.
Sheryl, a first-generation college graduate, understands the challenges of generational poverty. She is dedicated to helping children like herself become successful, literate adults, regardless of their circumstances.
Kelly Urban
Principal, Ben Franklin Elementary School, Indiana Area School District, PA
Kelly Urbani has dedicated 27 years to education, serving as a classroom teacher in kindergarten, first, and second grades and as a leader in early childhood education. For the past ten years, she has led Ben Franklin Elementary in fostering academic and social-emotional growth for PreK-3 students, emphasizing collaborative problem-solving, MTSS implementation, and evidence-based instructional practices.
Kelly is a doctoral student at Mount St. Joseph University, pursuing a Doctorate in Education with a concentration in Reading Science. Her research focuses on effective literacy practices and their impact on student achievement. Kelly is deeply committed to equipping educators with the tools and knowledge they need to create a meaningful and lasting impact on student success.
