Thanks for reading our blog,  When Should Multisyllable Words Worksheets and Activities be introduced in the Classroom?

Multisyllable Routine Cards

Our Multisyllable Routine Card (MSRC) program was designed to help students decode words using a three step process:  recognizing the syllable type, pronouncing the syllable with the appropriate vowel sound, and finally reading multisyllable words.  Taken from our MSRC Guide Routine 23: Closed Syllable lesson, students are directed to sort nonsense words by syllable type.  This activity can be used whole class, in small groups, or independently as a worksheet.

The MSRC instructional routines are presented in a spiral-bound, laminated Teacher’s Guide that includes handouts for every lesson. Each Teacher’smsrc-image.jpg Guide comes with access to the MSRC website where the ancillary materials and demonstration video.

Using our MSRC program, students will learn skills to improve accuracy, fluency, and reading comprehension.
