The all-new Multisyllable Routine Cards (MSRC) Digital Presentation is designed to be used in collaboration with our established MSRC program to amplify visual accessibility while seamlessly supporting MSRC steps and routines. For educators who already use MSRC to offer a fast-track approach that helps students in grades 3 and above become more accurate and fluent when decoding multisyllable words, this new feature delivers additional instructional and assessment value.

How will using the NEW MSRC Digital Presentation positively impact instruction and student outcomes?

MSRC Digital Presentation will:

• • Deliver a stimulating approach for modeling the example syllables/words when using MSRC with the whole class
    
    
  • Allow the instructor to facilitate lessons at an appropriate pace while maintaining student engagement. Using a wireless presenter remote allows the teacher to move about the classroom during instruction improving student responsiveness.
    
    
  • Align with the instructional dialogue and gradual release model presented in the MSRC Teacher's Edition
    
    
  • Offer increased ease in teacher planning through exclusive access to a downloadable Daily Pacing Guide. The NEW detailed lesson guide maps out each step for all 6 syllable types.
    
    

• • Provide educator guidance and more rigorous opportunities for using Student Application Tasks to assess skill mastery. Downloadable activities include syllable-type word hunts using authentic text,  sentence dictation, and phrase reading.
    
    
  • Include a visual for an 'I Do' and 'We Do' that guides students through the process of completing the downloadable handouts and provides an answer key that animates each response allowing students to determine their level of mastery
    
    
  • Give teachers the option on Day 5 of each lesson to collect and analyze student data to monitor progress
    
    
  • Permit flexibility with lessons being delivered in-class or remotely 

What does a 10-minute lesson using MSRC in collaboration with the NEW Digital Presentation look like in the classroom?

The first 5 minutes of each MSRC daily lesson begins with the original instruction from the Multisyllable Routine Cards.

• • During the first 5 minutes of the original routines, the Digital Files are utilized in lieu of the smaller downloadable MSRC cards. The digital slides, along with the instructional dialogue in the Teacher's Edition, allow for smooth instruction of the 'I Do' and 'We Do' parts of the lessons. The instructional content is easier to manage and display when teaching in a whole-class format.
    
    

Each syllable type includes:

     -  Animated presentation files, with sufficient representative skill examples
     -  NEW downloadable ancillary materials: Daily Pacing Guides, Application Tasks, and Best Practice Tips

The digital component can be used in place of the downloadable MSRC cards during whole group instruction while the printed cards are still recommended for small group intervention.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

As a best practice and to enhance the learning process, we recommend using a wireless presenter remote to advance the step-by-step animation. The presentation files are programmed in HTML5, making them universally compatible with all web browsers and a wide variety of devices, including PC, Mac, and Chromebook. 

SCHOOL YEAR SINGLE USER-BASED LICENSE THAT CAN BE RENEWED ANNUALLY

MSRC Digital Presentation will be available as a single-user license.
