Morpheme Magic Workshops

When teachers invest in growing their knowledge, students benefit too. Our goal in offering these classes is to support educators as they embark on their journeys into the world of teaching morphology and language.

We're offering virtual workshops designed to support the implementation of Morphemes for Little Ones: Building the Language Rich Classroom (K-3) and Morpheme Magic Lessons: Advanced Word Study through Syllables and Morphemes (4-12).

Teachers will gain skills and strengthen instructional practices as they acknowledge student needs and apply their morphology learning to planning and teaching the language components that are most critical at each grade level.

The Language Rich Classroom Boot Camp focuses on providing morphology instruction across grades K-3. During this professional learning, we'll explore the importance of providing a language rich environment, and how to use Morphemes for Little Ones lessons to address your students’ language and reading needs.

Module #1

Explore the language components as we connect morphology to the lessons in Morphemes for Little Ones (MA1005). During this section, we'll discuss how to use the Language Stimulation Cards and begin to plan how your language rich classroom will look, feel, and sound.

Module #2

Next, attendees will experience Morphemes for Little Ones lessons in action. Participants will observe and join in as they experience the flow of teaching morphological awareness from K through grade 3. They'll also learn more about how to use the Morpheme Grabber and Morpheme Wall, ensuring an engaging and interactive learning experience.

Module #3

Learn more about how to use the assessments included in the materials, engage in Q&A with the professional learning facilitator and your colleagues, and acquire effective morphology tips and activities to enrich your daily language and decoding focus.

Advanced Word Study through Syllables and Morphemes Boot Camp focuses on using the Morpheme Magic lessons to effectively include morphology in your teaching throughout the day. All professional learning content will be addressed using direct instruction, break-out discussion sessions, and hands-on activities.

Module #1

Learn how the language brain becomes a reading brain, how to determine your students’ word recognition phase, and what syllable instruction and morphological awareness is all about. Discover how to introduce morphology using the Morpheme Magic lessons.

Module #2

Observe a live Morpheme Magic lesson to see best instructional practices and ask questions about implementation. Review and discuss the Morpheme Lexicon and Morpheme Wall and how they should be used on a daily basis. Bring your Morpheme Magic questions for a lively Q&A session that meets your specific needs.

Module #3

Gain access to morphology activities to enhance instruction and student engagement. Explore ways to use the Morpheme Wall Cards to teach, review, and explore morphemes and words with your students.

Clicking on the button will take you to our Eventbrite page, where you'll be directed to enter the name, email address, title, school or district name, and phone number of each registrant before making a credit card payment. A confirmation message will be sent to all participants.

If you're registering with a Purchase Order, please email your PO to wsorders@95percentgroup.com.

All POs must include the name, email address, title, school or district name, phone number, and the correct Morphemes for Littles or Morpheme Magic class code (listed below) by session for each registrant. This information must appear on your PO or can be sent as an attachment.

Our Orders Department will confirm receipt and contact you to process your request within 24 hours.

Virtual Training Registration and Attendance Guidelines

Products are not included in the cost of the sessions and can be purchased before the workshop by contacting sales@95percentgroup.com or visiting our web store .
All attendees should log in to the virtual class using the school or district email address used when registering. Pre and post-training information will be sent to this email. This email address will also be used to confirm attendance.
