4 Grades 95 Phonics Core Program Our whole class phonics program for grades K-3 is designed to bring the effectiveness of 95 Percent Group’s structured literacy instructional approach into the classroom to address and prevent reading gaps for all students.

95 Phonics Skill Series™: Short Vowels

Continuum with CVC Our all-new Skill Series includes 30-days of focused, explicit instruction on the 5 short vowels in CVC words. The 20-minute lessons are designed to meet the needs of all students, grades 1-8, who could benefit from instruction targeting the short vowels on the CVC, closed syllable pattern.

Students acquire these skills through sequential instruction that begins with an explicit explanation of the phonics concept and provides application at the word, phrase, sentence, and passage level leading to mastery.

The closed syllable pattern is reinforced through word sorting, sound-spelling mapping with and without phonics chips, fluency, word chains, sentence dictation, and decodable passages.

For clients already using 95 Percent Group’s phonological and phonics core and intervention programs, the lessons follow 95 Percent Group’s Phonics Continuum.

95 Booster Bundle™: Tune-Up, Grades 1-3

Tune-Up™ is an explicit 25-day phonics program for students in first - third grade, taught whole class or small group to address gaps. The 20-minute lessons are designed to provide a daily “tune-up” covering the most critical phonics skills that students may not have mastered during the previous school year.

The program can be implemented any time during the school year with minimal preparation and eliminates the need for planning time.

In addition, the lessons can be taught as a brief review for 25 days, or teachers can skip around and provide instruction based on the most urgent skill needs.
